Human Rights at the Southern Border 2019: Migrant Children

Description

This policy paper intends to analyse the situation of migrant children, the state of their rights and guarantees from their arrival in Andalusia until they become adults. The aim of this report is to denounce the systematic violations that are taking place, contrary to international, national and regional regulations which establish "the best interests of the child" as a guiding principle that should guide all policies, decisions and actions. It also makes visible APDHA’s (Andalusian Pro Human Rights Association) proposals and demands in order to achieve a comprehensive model of child protection that addresses the specific circumstances of children who migrate without the company of adults in the recognition of their rights and the development of their life projects.
