Description

The Tomillo Foundation is a non-profit independent entity whose purpose is to contribute to social improvement and personal development. Through the program "Integral Attention to Children", for both national and immigrant population at risk of social exclusion or in extremely vulnerable situation, it aims to assist minors and young people to achieve their social integration and autonomy, promoting the development of their personal, cognitive and socialization skills in the family, school and social contexts. They work from an integrative perspective and in coordination with the educational, social and sanitary devices of the environment. Through five axes (school reinforcement, psychological support, intervention with families, educational leisure, advocating employability), the project pretends to achieve the socio-educational inclusion of minors in order to subsequently increase their employment opportunities. In order to prevent scholar school dropout of children, the foundation proposes extra-curricular activities and supports the children and their families in their relationship. The Project is developed mainly within the city of Madrid, in the following localities: La Latina, Carabanchel, Vallecas, Villaverde, Usera, San Blas and in Majadahonda, and receives EU funds and governmental funds.
